III.Instructional Objectives
With the geographic features
and the well-developed four industries of agriculture, forestry, fishery,
animal husbandry, the tourism and recreation industry in Chiayi has
become more prosperous recently. In light of this, we aim to foster
our students to become specialists in this field through greater collaboration
with industry, government, academia, and research.
To develop students the competence
of activity planning, administrative management, and marketing planning.
To foster students the ability
to facing the challenges in job market through solid professional
training.

VI. Features of Curriculum
We offer a variety of courses
mainly incorporated with industrial features of Chiayi-Yunling Region.
Professional courses include emphasis on Sports Leisure Management
and Leisure, Recreation Management.
The professional courses of Leisure Sports Management cover Leisure
Activity Planning,Leisure Sports Facilities Management. The professional
courses of Leisure Recreation Management cover Leisure Hotel Management
Leisure Farm Management, Tourism Resources Planning.
For the trend of society and related industries, we offer the courses
cover home stay management, leisure farm and fishery , senior leisure
activity, community management and planning, cultural creativity
industry, activity programs planning.
Through the internship programs, students gain invaluable on-the-job
experience in renowned restaurants, hotels, and
amusement parks.
Collaborative Education Training programs on- and
off- campus are offered.
On-campus internship opportunity: Caribbean Restaurant.
Off-campus internship opportunities: JanFuSun World, Le Beau Max
Resort, Sontenkan, Chiayi Farm , Prince Hotel, Sun Flower Tour,
and Palm Lake Resort…etc.

Studying at the Graduate School of Leisure, Recreation,
Tourism, Sports Management, and related field in Taiwan or foreign
countries.

They may serve in the related industries of agriculture,
fishery,and animal husbandry:leisure farm,leisure ranch, tourism
fishery,and home stay;in tourism industry:hotels, restaurants,travel
agencies ,amusement parks, shopping malls.
Job positions are also available in sports field:
professional sports instructors, leisure activity organizer, gym
trainers; in leisure therapy field: sports counselors, Spa therapists,
and rehabilitation village & retirement community staff.
